The Dicey Conference

Inspiring young people to explore the balance between individual freedom and the rule of law

With recent speakers including Shami Chakrabarti and Sir Roger Bannister, the two day Dicey Conference provides a unique, and sometimes life-changing, educational opportunity for bright sixth formers from both maintained and independent schools.

Dicey Conference ‘Question Time’

The McWhirter Foundation hosts the conference at Trinity College Oxford and chooses a topic designed to explore the balance between the importance of individual freedom with the need for government and the rule of law.

The workshop makes students think about their own roles and responsibilities in society and so encourages them to get involved with shaping Britain’s future. Over 2,000 sixth formers have now attended a ‘Dicey’.
