The McWhirter Foundation was founded in 1975, and since that time many thousands of people have attended our functions, particularly the Dicey Conference and the Citizens Awards. Inevitably we have lost touch with many of those people who have attended in the past. The establishment of this website has given us the opportunity to provide information about our history and current activities. It has also given us the chance to reconnect with our alumni.

We hope that many of you will rejoin us through the site and follow our activities and perhaps participate in them. We are very open to suggestions for future topics for the Dicey Conference; suggestions for speakers who might be interested in addressing the conference; people you would like to nominate for an award; and feedback from those who have attended Dicey.

We are particularly keen to hear from Dicey alumni and to hear what you have done since we last met. The conferences are designed to stimulate interest in some of the big issues that shape our society and encourage those that attend to take an active role in some form of public life in future.

There is also a blog section for Friends to get back in touch with us, and each other, and to comment on the subjects we tackle and other issues that we might tackle in the future.

For those who have not been involved with the Foundation before and would like to become a Friend, you are most welcome. To register as a Friend please fill out the form below.

All personal information given to The McWhirter Foundation will be treated in the strictest confidence and used for the sole purpose of informing you of matters relating to the Foundation.
